All 5 of our dogs are living well on applaws dog food. Applaws dog food pate – smells good enough to eat according to my husband who tried a bit on toast to prove his point. ( i haven’t tried it) we have 5 dogs – a rottweiler, a labrador and 3 miniature pinschers all but 1 are rescues and as you may or may not know rescued dogs who have survived by finding their own food from refuse bins and eating dead things before they were rescued?. Seem to have problems with their digestion – at least all the dogs we have taken in arrived with this problem of upset stomach and bloating intestines which necessitates them being checked over by the vet and a diet which is gentle on them is essential. Now we have bought both chickens and rabbits from the butchers and cooked them ourselves which is a slow laborious process as the carcasses needs to be cooked in batches in a slow cooker so that the bones dissolve in the cooking liquid and the marrow is released and the meat falls apart. This is then combined with brown rice and diced vegetables and returned to the pan and cooked again until the rice and vegetables are cooked. . My dog and every other finicky dog i recommend it for loves it. Also has made my dog healthier and his stools firmer and easier to clean up. Update: because of the way the description is worded the warehouse only send one pack of 5 instead of the 8 packs of 5, which would equal the 40 trays. Order the other flavour selection where the 8 x pack of 5 is clearly stated in the description to be sure you receive the correct number, honestly the flavours aren’t that different anyway.

Applaws dog pate multipack fresh selection, 5 x. Only just received this but part of the first tray opened – turkey – went down well mixed with kibble this morning. Have yet to try the beef and the fish. (well the dogs have, not me). Or would have given it 5 stars. . Hope to be ordering more in the future.

      New puppy gulps this down as adult dog tries to steal it. I even found the puppy hiding with a pack trying to chew through the foil, so it’s very popular in our house. Very meaty and fresh smelling.
