Barking Heads Dog Food Quackers Grain Free Duck 2kg : As approved by Bodee !

This the second barking heads dog food that we have tried, and our dog has liked both of them more than his previous dry food. It is in quite small chunks compared to some other feeds, so will suit very small dogs well. The pack has a sturdy velcro-type resealable top, which has kept the feed fresh.

Excellent buy seller recommended.

Great packaging and high quality dog food. Just from the bag you know this is going to be a good quality product. The bag is well designed, stands out and it’s actually resealable. I’ve had many dog food bags which claim to be resealable but just come straight apart. This one has a much more robust sealing strip. The pieces are bigger than anticipated, if you have a really small dog they might not go down too well. Think similar in size and shape to chocolate minstrels. My dog wolfed this down and just a couple of days later after eating this his coat is super smooth and shiny and he seemed to love the taste. This bag is a touch on the expensive side but you pay more for the quality ingredients.

Comments from buyers

“Our choice since puppy days, As approved by Bodee !, Excellent food, my dog was very ill lost a “

If one of your pets has a food allergy, it is important to check ingredients of any food that is left out to avoid causing a reaction. When first diagnosed a few years ago, options were very limited as many manufacturers didn’t list all the ingredients and had catch-all items such as ‘meat’ and ‘fish’, i. Things are improving and choice expanding with this barking heads food being grain free and thus a good starting point. Barking heads ‘turkey delight’ contains a high turkey content (55%) and the pack lists all other ingredients (sweet potato, peas, lucerne, salmon oil, seaweed, glucosamine, msm and chondroitin). Okay, i had to google ‘lucerne’ (plant based) but otherwise fine. It has been well received and caused no digestive issues whatsoever. It also smells reasonably palatable. Note that a 2kg bag is small but will allow you to gauge reaction before investing in one of the larger sizes as i am about to.

Excellent buy seller recommended.

Is have 9 avery fussy frenchies who love raw. They won’t even look at dried food. This dog food went down a treat. Is have 9 avery fussy frenchies who love raw. They won’t even look at dried food. But this they just scoffed down in one sitting. It’s got to be the best they have had so far. And i didn’t give them much. Just sprinkled it on their foodand left them to it.

Our choice since puppy days. People mention price here often but if you do your research right you will see that barking heads is actually one of the cheapest premium brands. We have 10mth puppy and started introducing adult food. Moving from barking heads pupp to this one – smooth transition so far, we only give her 10% of adult and rest still puppy. No loose poo, no lose of appetite. We went through a lot of reviews & articles on dog food. Even before we got a dog we new exactly what she will be eating 🙂 she is on bh and thriving.

Since my staffy has been eating it his coat is always glossy, and passes healthily. He’s been eating the chicken one for ages and started to get bored of it, so we’ve switched to this flavour. So far, so good – he gobbles it down.

My vet advised me that dry food is much better for cats and dogs than wet tinned food. I wanted my labrador to loose a little bit of weight and switched to dry food but she didn’t enjoy it as much. What i do now is i give her half the amount of wet food i normally would and mix in this dry food to it and she loves it. The most important thing is that. Y dig enjoys it and she does.

High quality food and priced accordingly. Having given barking heads dry food to both our dogs, poppy a jack russell cross and blenheim a racing stock whippet, i have to say that they are enjoying this new flavour just as much as the others. We use it as a supplement to their normal wet food with a bowl always on offer which they tuck into for between-meal snacks and as a training treat when out walking. Ths biscuits are well packed in a tough and resealable bag and have a pleasant aroma which persists even after the bag has been opened for some time. The contains 53% duck meat and with a minimum of non-food constituents, and nothing at all i would have doubts about feeding them. The only real drawback with this product is the price which at nearly £14 for a 2kg bag is not inexpensive. This is a high-quality food containing high-quality constituents and is priced as such.

My dog has always been fed on dried food (on the recommendation of the vet) and has never been one to tuck into a bowl of food and polish it off as soon as it hits the floor, instead he is a “grazer” eating little and often throughout the day. As such it is often difficult to tell whether he likes a particular brand of food. With these he has certainly seemed to be going back to his bowl more frequently and eating more. When we’ve mixed them in with other food he has been known to search through and pick out just these, leaving the other (less tasty?) biscuits for later. That’s about a good a recommendation as i can give.

Too expensive for my fussy dog. My oldest dog is fussy with dried complete food and whilst at first he eat it quickly he soon got bored it. It does have some great ingredients but because of the price (i can get a 15kg bag for the same price, i have had to deduct stars.

Perhaps it’s just the flavour, but my three loved this. Even the blind, ancient, fussy eater wolfed it down and begged for more. The bag was easy to open, and i caught the old fella breaking into the pantry to steal more the next day.

The blurb promises a good quality product with no grain for some dogs who may be sensitive to this. I’m not aware either of mine have a problem with grain, but any diet which may help minimise digestive disruption is welcome to me. Though not cheap, i am reassued that i am getting a suitable food for my dogs, it is well packaged in a manageable size 2kg bag, and was wolfed down by both dogs.

Perfect for a bichon frise, i very lucky she loves this. . Not only do i have a labrador i also look after a bichon frise and she loves this. The size of the kibble is perfect for her. I found that i had no problem with an upset stomach when i switched her on to it. Im very careful with the amount i feed her. I find that the reconditions of about is always way to much. I do weigh out her food and for her it works perfectly.

Excellent quality natural dog food. Barking heads turkey delight is a nutritionally balanced, complete dry dog food made with natural ingredients and contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. It contains a high meat content of 55% turkey and is grain free and hypo-allergenic. The kibble itself is quite small sized so small dogs would have no problem eating it. I tested the food out on my labradors and small terrier and all of them loved it and gobbled up every tasty morsel every mealtime. The food caused no digestive upsets but did cause some flatulence haha (i would put this down to the food being richer than their usual food). The protein content of the food is 24% and the fat content is 15%. This is something to be aware of if you have a dog that needs a lower protein or lower fat diet. Overall an excellent quality, natural dog food which my dogs loved but it is rather on the expensive side for feeding 4 dogs.Happy to recommend to others, especially those with dogs that have allergies.

The sign of a good dog food is whether our dog empties the bowl and over this he really did, he can sometimes be funny with just dry or just wet food but he nibbled quickly at this and emptied his bowl. Therefore recommended purely on our dog woofing it all down.

We feed our dog raw foods, so i’m not mad on dried biscuits. . But that’s not always convenient when travelling. As these are grain-free (dog can’t digest grain) these do for emergencies and went down well enough. They’re still only 55% turkey and even then there is no way of knowing where the turkey comes from or how it was reared.

So our tiny female yorkshire terrier (14 months old), and our male rough-haired dachshund (16 months old) have been chowing down on this for the last month. If they could speak, i’m sure they’d say they like it, and it fills their tiny bellies up. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the vine programme i wouldn’t have even bought this – it could easily be just regarded as just another brand of food. I usually buy ‘another high-street brand’ for the pups, which claims to give all the nutrition they need, and they’ve always eaten that without complaint. After 4 weeks, i can’t tell if they’re in better health or not, as they’re so young, but they’re boundless balls of energy regardless. However, i am attractive to the fact that this has a lot less ‘rubbish’ in it. I do mix this kibble with scraps (e. Bits of the sunday roast) when served as i like to get some ‘real’ food in their diet, but they do happily eat this on it’s own.

I’m not sure if the dog or i love this the most–i grin every time i look at the fun packaging and the because our dog recognises the bag, she cannot wait for me to get her dinner. She tucks in, leaves nothing, and her itchy skin is now non-existent. She loves it so much, i am using part of her daily requirement of barking heads as training treats. The bag has a table of suggested feeding amounts, and also suggests that if you have any questions, use the good old “dog and bone” to contact them. Barking heads is 100% natural and contains absolutely no grains, additives or preservatives. The duck variety (which we have at present) has 52% duck, 5% trout, sweet potato, lucerne and seaweed and peas and lentils. It also contains glucosamine and chondroitin to maintain joint health, and some major vitamins and minerals. And the self-seal foil bag is a great asset.
