Burns Alert Lamb 12 Kg : Great for sensitive dogs

. Their teeth have tartar since they have been eating burns,finding it difficult to clean teeth.

This dog food is great value for money and is great for my dog who has a senstive tummy at times. It keeps him happy and healthy :o).

My dog has always eaten burns food and loves it.

Burns alert- good for hyperactive dogs. I needed a grain free product for a rottie with a very severe allergic reaction to wheat and barley. For nearly 18 months i fed a diet of raw fresh beef and cooked vegetables which worked extremely well but was both expensive and time consuming and so looked for a commercial alternative. Having tried a number of foods, the best of which was skinners duck and rice although a little too high in protein for an already hyperactive dog, i researched the burns website. Alert was recommended for assistance dogs and claimed that animals were calmer with this as their regular diet. He is now in his third month on this food and the change has been remarkable he is indeed much calmer and has a very healthy coat. I am frankly horrified at the price some outlets charge, but on the amazon regular supply plan , together with the fact that 400 grams daily keeps my 110lb rottie in excellent condition, the cost is around £29. 00 pcm which isn’t exorbitant for a large breed. With a less challenging or active working dog the skinners alternative would have been equally good,however we shall continue with burns alert. Stools are also diminished in quantity and firm.

Excellent value and a great dog food. Got this as it was recommended for hype dogs, it worked wonders on him and he’s not so hyper any more.

    My dog has been on this for 5 years and does very well on it. It helps with his focus and for a collie x who struggles to maintain weight, this diet seems to help.

    Good food for sensitivities and skin. I like the ingredients -compared to pro plan and other foods- has a lot of great ingredients with no allergic fillers and a decent meat content. Although the kibbles broke up quite alot and 1/4 of bag turned to powder- i worry about the density of the pieces as they crumble too easily as whether they are actually that filling. Dogs seemed to go through it much faster than other foods. Also should have some joint aid. But has brown rice and no wheat/gluten and all ingredients which don’t cause sensitivities so is much better for skin and allergies. Also does have wholesome ingredients such as brown rice and at least 20% chicken with lots of oils for skin and glossy hair.

      Wouldn’t feed anything else. Always fed my dogs with this food and always been in great condition on it. Fantastic shine on their coats and can tell the quality in the food. Though a little more expensive than your run of the mill dog foods – there is just no comparison in the quality and the effect it has on their behaviour. As the protein and fat levels in the food are very low this in turn reduces the dogs energy levels which fits in better with most pet dogs.
