Eukanuba Dry Dog Food Daily : Great quality specialist dry food for pooches with sensitive skin

Have never had any problems eukanuba.

It’s early days yet, but my cocker spaniel has really taken to this. Until now she has been on hill’s science plan and i have no complaints about this, but her skin is sensitive in some places and it will be interesting to see how she fares under this new regime. To be honest, i wonder how different these dog foods really are. I compared the two lists of ingredients and didn’t really see much change between them. Anyway, her coat was shiny with the hill’s, and if it doesn’t stay shiny i’ll change back. My partner maintains that the spaniel is wagging her tail even faster than usual since starting this new food. Even if this is true, i wonder if this says more about my partner’s need to get a life than it does about the effects of the dog food. I mean, was she counting the tail wags or what.

Great quality specialist dry food for pooches with sensitive skin. This is an excellent high quality dry food for dogs with sensitive skin. Ours love it and although the product appears expensive, the long term costs if you stick to the recommended servings are actually quite reasonable. The food comes well packaged too, in a strong weatherproof plastic bag with a zipper on the top.

Comments from buyers

“Fantastic value and excellent product!, Expensive but works well after only two weeks of use, We switched to this food on the basis of the reviews and we’re very glad we did”

This food for dogs with sensitive skin is a fantastic product, it comes absolutely loaded with every ingredient imaginable for the good health of your dog. It limits the inclusion of ingredients that can cause skin itching and includes vitamin-rich fish as a source of protein. My twelve years old english springer has been on this for a few weeks now and he loves it, although the greedy guts will eat anything. The appearance of his coat these days is lovely, it was looking dull lately and i feel sure this food will help his skin because he has suffered with skin problems occasionally. I have had him on some of the other foods in this brand and i cannot fault any of them. Well worth the expanse, i intend to carry on giving him eukanuba for the proven benefits he is getting.

Being eaten – waiting to see end results. . Well the good news is that this is being eaten. The bad news is we need a lot of storage to keep it in as the dog is small & one bag is about a 3 months supply & we don’t want it to go off. As to if it works – i’ll get back to you on that.

My bichon was full of a skin rash and drove me mad stratching. The vet suggested to try sensitive food and after only 2 days there is a massive improvement.

Fantastic value and excellent product. This food is the best we’ve had so far, 6 months in and we have no issues with their skin or coat at all.

We switched to this food on the basis of the reviews and we’re very glad we did. We have a golden retriever with sensitive skin, especially in the summer when he is prone to hot spots. He was previously fed a tailor-made food to help with his skin but he increasingly began scratching at his body and nibbling at his feet and we weren’t sure if the formula had changed. We switched to this food on the basis of the reviews and we’re very glad we did. He seems to enjoy the taste, the smell isn’t overpowering at all and most importantly his constant scratching stopped within days and his skin looks healthy. My only gripe is that the bag is so tall. So when i reach in to scoop out food i end up with the sides sticking to my arm and fishy dog biscuit smell on me. We could decant the food into something else but i otherwise like the zip locked bag so i will just continue to wash my arm after feeding. We would recommend this food and will definitely continue to purchase.

I have tried a lot of dog food to suit. I have tried a lot of dog food to suit my british bulldog. She has only been on this food for a couple of weeks but it really seems to be helping with her skin already.

They’ll bite your hand off. . Vet-recommended, i started using eukanuba products a while ago. They are full of everything that dogs with these conditions require. There are few alternatives and frankly i wouldn’t bother trying any other food, as i’m going to trust my vet over claims from any website or advert. Most importantly, dogs love it.

My collie has sensitive skin so frequently rolls and itches herself on the carpet/grass so tried this food to see if it would make any difference. After a couple of weeks on the food she seems less itchy and her skin has calmed down and most of all she enjoys it. I would highly recommend this food as it is both palatable and good value as its lasted nearly six weeks. The sack has a great zip which really keeps the contents fresh, i haven’t seen this before on any dog food and think it is a really great idea as the food stays crunchy and (as far as i can tell, tasty).

Dog happy and not in need of head and shoulders. As owners of a dog prone to malassezia infection, we were keen to try a non-prescription dog food aimed at dealing with skin issues (hill’s d/d food would be the prescription equivalent), and our vet also recommends eukanuba food so we felt confident that it was a good choice. While it is difficult to quantify effects upon the dog’s skin over the feeding period (approximately five weeks), there has certainly not been any resurgence in skin flakes/odour since switching him to this food, which has not been the case with other brands we have tried, so it would appear to be helping. This is a fish protein based food (and thus smells a little, although not offensively so), and is highly palatable to our dogs (puppy pinches some too). The kibbles have eukanuba’s “3d dental defence” system to help keep teeth clean and are indeed very crunchy. Our dog is certainly very happy on this food and we would recommend it.

Even at this price it still represents a bargain compared to what you would pay in the shops, and in my area it’s difficult to get hold of. The bag is durable and resealable so it’s fine to store in the garage or other cold places. Contains none of the usual artificial preservatives/colours/additives etc and had a good use by date.

Obviously this is only based on one dog, but thanks to a 5 year old labrador who suffers from a rash from time to time by his nose, i can confirm this food has been a success. He’s had no problems eating it (if anything he eats it faster than other brands) and at the moment he has no rash. Based on 2 weeks of feeding i won’t claim this is conclusive but fingers crossed. As a brand eukanuba prides itself on using the best ingredients with the right balance, so i would have no doubt recommending this if you dog does have sensitive skin, or perhaps more importantly if your dog has sensitive skin and you have not yet found a product that works.

Premium product, a fishy-smelling dog food, went down well. . This was obtained to help a neutered english springer spaniel, (female) whose coat has been fluffy and less than glossy since neutering. We became concerned that her skin was getting drier and wanted to address this by natural rather than chemical means. Other reviews have mentioned a strong fishy smell from this mix and they are not exaggerating. You’ll probably be extremely glad of the re-sealable bag, as the scent of mackerel is very strong on first opening. It didn’t seem to put our dog off her food thoughthe texture isn’t like other eukanuba products, the high levels of fish oils present make it slightly sticky. Despite this, it was wolfed down, a clean bowl at every meal and a waggy tail. Updated: the bag kept our girl fed for nearly a month and it was certainly enjoyed. As it was autumn when it was eaten the dog was growing her coat and looking slightly fluffier anyway, but we definitely noticed that her skin was not so dry looking. The food was well tolerated and apart from fishy breath, there were no digestive upsets.
