Eukanuba Puppy/Junior Lamb and Rice Dry Mix 3 kg : Bella the Fox Terrier is spoilt for choice. rules in our household.

The vet recommended kibble as oppossed to ‘wet’ food because it is healthier for dogs. It is also better for their teeth, and most of all it contains a complete and balanced diet for your dog. I chose eukanuba because it is one of the most trusted names in the pet food world. Thankfully our puppy liked it and it was gobbled up in less than 2 minutes. I think it is expensive, but believe that is the best i can give. Puppy is full of energy, has sweet breath and no smelly wind. She really seems to enjoy this and for that reason its a hit with me.

High quality food well packaged. This is a very reliable range of foods and this one is great for puppies. What i like in particular is the form of packaging-they are resealable bags with a top zipper and although bulky when bought in this size, it means they can be easily kept outside if kitchen space is at a premium. Eukanuba stuff may seem expensive too, although if you stick to their recommended feed amounts, it does actually turn out to be quite economical in the long run, and you are getting top quality food into the bargain.

Growing dogs will love this. Great value mega bag of dried lamb and rice. Contains the essentials for a balanced diet for a large active puppy or junior dog. 15 kgs is like the weight of a bag of spuds. Eukanuba is a premium brand, recognised for its quality ingredients. This is dog food, not food for junior lambs. Here are the specifications for the Eukanuba Puppy/Junior Lamb and Rice Dry Mix 3 kg:

  • Containing DHA, an Omega 3 fatty acid clinically proven to help promote smart, trainable puppies
  • Contains calcium, clinically proven to support strong bones for growth and development
  • Beet pulp to help promote digestive health and a fibre blend to optimise nutrient absorption
  • No artificial preservatives, flavours or colourants added
  • 100% complete and balanced

I love this stuff, ok well i dont like to eat it but my dogs do. They whoomp it down with gusto. I have had them on it now for almost a year and you really can tell the difference. Yes i guess the initial outlay can be shocking to some people but considering you only feed them tiny amounts this works out to the equivalent of just £4 per week per dog. Personally i really dont feel that this is overly expensive at all. All 3 of my dogs are on it and will turn up their nose at all other food, they also eat it dry as i dont believe in giving them tinned meat as it is bad for them. Once or twice a week i give them meat trays as a way to break up the monotony, but honestly they prefer this. All my dogs are healthy and happy so thats enough testament for me.

A good start in life for your new puppy. Eukanuba is a well know manufacturer of quality pet food widely used by ‘doggy’ people who want an easy to use dried food that gives everything that is needed for their animals whether pets, working or show dogs. You will generally find that they will not use anything suspect nor will the manufacturer thrive without paying close attention to what is required. The real secret is to give your dog a balanced and varied diet and the sort of nutrition that will allow him to develop strong bones and muscles. This may mean a mixture of a number of types of food but for a puppy we have to consider giving something that is easy to digest whilst still doing the necessary building. Unless you are the breeder in which case you make the original choice, it is always best to ask what the puppy has been fed on and continue with that for a few weeks. Then you can make any change but do it gradually by mixing old and new to lessen any effect of change. It does well to remember that you do not get the chance to repeat the formative months of your puppy’s life so it is essential to give him the best you can find to ensure proper development. This eukanuba puppy food is designed for all breeds large or small up to 12 months and has a high percentage of lamb and rice both of which are ideal for development along with all the other many ingredients. It certainly works with regard to the correct development.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Bella the Fox Terrier is spoilt for choice. Eukanuba rules in our household.
  • Ideal for sensitive tummies; still tasty enough to tempt.
  • Expensive but loved by the dogs and excellent quality

Our little westie usually leaves or pukes up as much food as she consumes–she has no real problem except ‘sensitive digestion'( due to high pedigree it’s been said)–and no, we have not been offering her too much food. We have taken advice from all kinds of specialists and have tried different dog foods and different regimes on their recommendation. Well, i wish someone had put us on to eukanuba first and it would have saved a lot of mess and messing about. The dog absolutely loves the flavour of lamb and eats her meal with no fuss or repercussions. Her coat is lovely and her nose is wet so it seems to be very nutritious and her poo is firmer and easier to dispose of. Dry dog foods appear to be pricey, but this 15kg sack will last a long long time and is obviously good value because she can digest it. The bag is conveniently resealing—and this is a robust zipper, not those useless ‘sticky’ strips or tongue and groove type bags. We will never buy anything different now.

Eukanuba puppy/junior lamb and rice dry mix 3 kg. My son and i have two border terrier pups (brothers in fact) and although other dried food was recommended they did not eat this at all i had been told about eukanuba and decided to try both pups are now eating the food and are happy and contented pups.

One of the puppy food brands recommended to us by our vet was eukanuba, so we were pleased to be offered the opportunity to test this lamb and rice mix. Our little madam is a picky eater but loves the taste of this product and it is no longer necessary to spend time coaxing her to eat. The kibbles are crunchy but manageable even for little puppy teeth, and the food has had no adverse effects upon her digestion. Definitely worth spending a bit extra to give your puppy this quality food.

This is probably is quickest-eaten food fed to my dogs. You could say they wolfed it down. The kibble seem to be a bit softer than the usual biscuit type, perhaps due to the rice *which should make it better for young dogs, as thsi is what the product is designed for). I might try this myself if things get tight around christmas. If you have a quality dog, get them this quality food.

The kennel club states that top breeders recommend eukanuba as the best puppy food. Personally, i have found that although many breeders do recommend eukanuba, they often feed other good quality brands such as royal canin and james wellbeloved. All these dog food brands are similar in that they produce good quality dog food without all the preservatives and additives which go into cheaper brands. Some dog food kibbles are brightly coloured – red, green, yellow – but you can be sure in the knowledge that eukanuba does not colour their dog food with artificial e-numbers. I avoid anything with artificial colours and therefore i wouldn’t be happy feeding them to my dog either. Eukanuba lamb and rice can be fed from 1 – 12 months, ensuring that your puppy gets a great start with all the vitamins and minerals that he or she requires. This puppy food is great quality and i am happy that it provides great nutritional benefits for my puppy. The dry food is easy to digest and the small kibbles are perfect for a puppy’s little teeth, but i would soften it in some warm milk before serving to a very young puppy (maybe up to three months). I would definitely recommend this puppy food.

A huge bag of high quality dog food. Our puppy has a huge appetite, and can be a little fussy about what she eats, so it was a relief that she eats this eukanaba lamb and rice dry mix. 15 kg is a pretty weighty bag, which may present you with a bit of a storage issue, but for us it fits into a kitchen cabinet and we scoop out her food at mealtimes. And it disappears quite quickly.

Our furry friends both young and old enjoyed this product. They ate the food with gusto and their coats appeared to be glossier than usual whether this was the benefit of a change of diet i cannot say for sure but everyone noticed a difference. The food also appeared to improve their dietary issues i. They have very sensitive stomachs and often a change of food can upset them; i am glad to say that they appeared to tolerate this food better than other well known brands and i have recommended it to family and friends for their pets.

Ideal for sensitive tummies; still tasty enough to tempt. . This lamb and dry rice mix is ideal for the puppy or young dog who finds some dry foods too rich, but it still contains enough of a savoury zing to tempt a pup into eating. Our five month old springer puppy loved it. He didn’t have a problem with the medium dog sized puppy food he was on previously, but like many puppies has a habit of chewing and tasting things he shouldn’t. This included pinching food from the older dog’s bowl if she left it for a second, and this is too rich for his puppy tummy at the moment. Ensuring the majority of his diet is easily digestible is a way of ensuring that he gets the maximum nutritional benefits from his food without it passing through his system too quickly. This lamb and rice mix fits the bill perfectly. This is a good value quality mix and one that it’s hard to replicate at home. Cooking rice for dogs to eat is time consuming and something that has to be done on a daily basis as it’s tricky stuff to store.

Expensive but loved by the dogs and excellent quality. Eukanuba seem to be the masters of excellent dog nutrition. This food is expensive but contains everything to keep your dog healthy. It also tastes nice and there is never any left. The company has done lots of research into what makes a healthy dog diet and this is the result. I can now see why vets recommend it and dogs really respond to it. Fur becomes shiny and they get less skin flaking which is great. Also having to chew the food helps keep down tartar on the teeth in most cases unless you have a food gulper like my giant poodle where it does not touch the sides. Reading the ingredients panel i can see that there is only good stuff in there and little ash filler unlike some of the cheaper brands so you are paying for a quality and healthy dog product. I have tried lots of eukanuba food with my many dogs and can only sing its praises.

Ideal for all pups and young dogs. . Just got stuck with looking after my daughter’s four month old pup as she bunks off to oz for a suntan. Put it in a kennel i suggested?. Dad, it’s only a puppy, can’t put it in a doggy hotel. A weird and wonderful mixed race mutt, seems to have a streak of lassie (sheepdog?) in it along with some other hairy beast – i really don’t know. What matters is that it came together with a packet of dry food that it pushed around the bowl, then around the kitchen floor, even when soaked in milk, len (yep, that’s his name, short for lenin) did not seem that interested and he also seemed constipated, bowel movements seemed difficult. Amazon to the rescue, 15 kilo pack of eukanuba puppy/junior dog lamb, rice, beetroot and other goodies, high nutrient value dry puppy food that can be used with liquid for pre-chewing age dogs or dry for those that have some teeth. Len seems much more interested in this than the stuff my daughter left for him, also his digestion seems much better as i find out most mornings in my kitchen where he spends the night. I have to be a bit mean, when he finishes his ration and starts pushing the empty bowl around, giving me that mournful look that says gimme, gimme, gimme – i don’t. Overfeed with this product and i’ll be returning an overweight, fat, lazy six month old to my daughter when she returns next month.

A good start in life for your new puppy. Eukanuba is a well know manufacturer of quality pet food widely used by “doggy” people who want an easy to use dried food that gives everything that is needed for their animals whether pets, working or show dogs.

Having used other specialized eukanuba feeds,my only reservations have been around the high cost of their feeds. There is no doubt that they are quality products however. This puppy/junior lamb and rice mix was obtained for my sister who has a young cocker spaniel. So far,as to be expected,he has been leaving clean plates every time. Hard to judge any positive effects as most dogs will eat anything in my experience and some dogs seem to thrive on the cheapest tinned food and scraps.

Bella the fox terrier is spoilt for choice. Eukanuba rules in our household. . About a month ago, bella the fox terrier tried eukanuba puppy and junior medium breed dry food, which she dived into straight away. There were no side effects from her change of usual food, so we decided to try this. I’m afraid that bella is becoming a little spoilt madam, as since this has arrived, she has clearly demonstrated which variety is her favourite: this one, because it is lamb-based, her very favourite meat, followed by the chicken variety, and a bit grudgingly, her old dog food; we wanted to finish the pack of the latter, but she was pretty miffed about eating itthe chunks are the right size for her, and i find that she chews this food more than her other dry food, meaning that she’s not guzzling out of sheer greed. Once she’s eaten, you’ll see her licking her chops for a good while, so clearly, it’s tasty. It is however, the slightest bit smelly to our human noses, whereas the chicken version is odourless to us. I have noticed that she’s drinking a little more with this variety, and perhaps that’s helping to bulk out the food, as she certainly isn’t begging for scraps in between meal times. I’d worked out that the 15kg bag would last about 7/8 weeks, which is proving to be pretty accurate, as we are down to around 1/2 of a 15kg bag, around a month after she started. This product is expensive, like the chicken variety, but the difference in bella’s coat and her energy levels make both worth it.

My puppy, the worlds most picky puppy yummed this food down. The bag is re-sealable and stands upright well. My one quibble is that a measuring cup would have been useful. The kibble is small, perfect for little mouths and it smells pleasant. Plenty of fresh water needs to be provided with dry dig food however dry food can help remove tartar from teeth. I prefer the dry food, mr picky lurcher would no doubt prefer fillet steak.

The pup is a bit picky when it comes to dry food, but there is no problem with this stuff. She’ll even eat it by itself, whereas usually she will only have it mixed in with tinned food. The bag is large but stable, it hasn’t fell over yet and it is easy to open and close.
