Good quality dog food at excellent price. . Both my dogs love this skinners kibble. I have two cockerpoos one toy at 4 years, and one puppy of eight months. My little poo who is 4 has an undershot jaw and has difficulty chewing the larger kibble and a lot of the time gives up and just eats the chicken that i give to tempt him. Her has really taken to this, he finds it easy to chew and digest and it seems really palatable. No adverse reactions at all. My puppy loves it too, it takes him a bit of time to chew this which is good as he is a bit of a gulper so this slows him down and takes him a bit longer to finish. This is an enormous bag of kibble and whilst representing fantastic value for money you need somewhere to store it. The ingredients are all really good nothing suspect at all and i have to say i have always been pleased with everything that i have had from skinners.
Excellent food for a growing energetic dog. . Skinners field and trial duck and rice puppy dog food, 15 kgthe kibble. This is a medium sized kibble. The nutritional content is very good and ideal for a working dog. It will give your dog the right nutrients for an energetic life. Our one year old collie loves it and we have had no problems with the feeding. He has plenty of energy and his coat condition is superb after using this food. Skinner know what they are doing. The food is palatable and provides excellent nutrition. It’s expensive but it is very good.
Very popular with my border collie. He had previously been getting carnilove , and he seemed to calm down a bit with the skinners and his stools firmed up. . Makes life easier with the dog bag. A good medium feed , not to rich in protein, something though good for a growing pup can contribute to them being over active. A good feed and as far as i know the protein in it does not come from road kill or out of date supermarket meats , def much healthier than another well advertised brand that starts with a b. So yes i would recommend it.

“Good quality dog food at excellent price., Found a better alternative., Excellent for upset puppy tummies”
Top quality food the puppy really enjoys. Skinners field and trial duck and rice puppy dog food – 15 kgcomplete foods are a convenient way to ensure your new puppy gets all the nutrients they need for a heathy, balanced diet. Feeding a puppy on dry foods also means drier stools that are easier to pick up in a doggy waste bag. The puppy – a large bouncy cross-breed – wolfs down this skinners complete food without any ill-effects on his digestion that can sometimes happen when introducing a new food to a dog. However, we did mix it with tinned food to stretch it out. The food doesn’t smell of anything much (at least to my nose), meaning it won’t make the room smelly on the rare occasion some might be left in the bowl for later. This food is more expensive than many, but contains top quality ingredients and no allergens or fillers. For sale at the time of writing this review at £35.
First thought on receiving this was it’s a huge bag. Whilst making this a tad difficult to store it does represent good value. What you get inside is a high quality dog food, containing 28% meat and fortified with vitamins, minerals and vegetables. The mixture is claimed to be ideal for supporting growth in your puppy. I have no doubt this is the case, but see no reason this should just be limited for puppy use. I have a small chihuahua who is very fussy with food, but he loved this. The vitamin and mineral content is something i view as an added bonus and am more than happy to feed him this even though he is nearly 5 years old. The food is broken into a very small, digestible and easy to eat size and the hard nature is good for your dogs teeth. The bag, whilst massive and heavy, is of a good quality so shouldn’t split and is resealable to ensure freshness.
Great food, puppy loves it and his coat is vet shiny.
