Woof & Brew WOOF&BREW Herbal Dog Tea : Taste test passed with five wags

This is a novel idea, and something i was very surprised to see. The only way my dog will touch this, is poured over her food. When mixed with food, she either does not notice it is there, or eats it anywaymakes the food smell a lot nicer, but i have not noticed any skin/coat changes.

One of my dogs is very old and has terrible breath. I have discovered and tried all kinds of products to make it possible to breathe in his vacinity. The only things that make any noticeable diffenerence are the dentist cleaning them and this. Both my dogs seem to like it.

Need to teach my boy to lift his leg and stop peeing like a horse. Might be less than before, difficult to tell but i won’t be buying again. Need to teach my boy to lift his leg and stop peeing like a horse. Here are the specifications for the Woof & Brew WOOF&BREW Herbal Dog Tea:

  • Rich in Vitamins and Minerals
  • 100% Natural
  • Nutrititonally Balanced
  • Simple to use
  • Caffeine Free

However, when i used this product. However, when i used this product last i me i was soaking my bitches dried kibble in the tea and it dramatically reduced the scorching from urine burn on the lawn. However, she is now fed raw food and only drinks the tea. She is not a big drinker and it therefore is not really having much effect now.

Our two dogs like some normal tea when we have ours. All the dogs we’ve owned have enjoyed tea and even back when i was a child, mum gave our dog tea. Non doggy people might think it strange but our pets do like to be included and there is no harm in it. (it is only v v weak and with skimmed milk)i had heard of woof and brew tea in a popular dog magazine and so was pleased to have the opportunity to try this out on my two. The tea bags are in a nice sturdy re-sealable packet and when you open it up the smell is like rooibos with chamomile. They pyramid style tea bags are made of a sort of gossamer fabric which the manufacturer states is biodegradable. These little bags are better made than the tea bags for humans areit is all very simple, just add 1 doggy tea bag into 250 ml of boiling water and leave to brew for about 4 minutes, then when the time is up just add 750 ml of cold water and stir. The tea is now ready for your dog. Once made up i tried it before the cold water was added and again afterwards.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Parrot looks good. Will our dog look as good?,
  • Maltese Terrier Approved!
  • Cup of tea Fido?

This is really great stuff as it’s got our labrador drinking more, which is great cause it helps digestion. You basically make a mug of tea as you would normally then add cold water to cool. It’s got plenty of vitamins and oxidants in it, but as it does take a bit of effort, as apposed to just filling at the tap, it may be an acquired taste for some owners. However we found it really made our dog drink more and making a cup didn’t take too much effort. With just 28 bags though you may find you get through them fast. But if you find your dogs probably not drinking enough, this is a great way to get them to.

Just make the tea allow to cool and pour on to the dogs food. After about 3 weeks hey presto no more brown burns on my lawn. I have tried all sorts but this one does work.

I must admit i wasnt expecting much from a doggy brew but my little bichon loved it. The packaging had been obscured so i contacted the company to determine the correct usage. The customer service was great, a clear informative leaflet was emailed to me straight away. It is easy to make a jug of tea for the day or mix a little in his dry food for a bit of a change. Not sure if i’d be prepared to pay a lot for it but only time will tell if it benefits his coat. I don’t tend to prepare it every day, just for a treat now and then. But he seems to like the taste :).

I found these to be bit of a novelty, and although my dogs loved this drink, i feel they are more aimed at little pampered pooches who can’t resist drinking out of a (human) mug of tea as soon as one is placed on the floor or within reach. My friend had a yorkshire terrier who loved drinking tea, but only out of cups. This is the type of dog i feel these are aimed at, so they really can have their “own tea”. If your dog is a true tea drinker, you could buy him or her their own large mug. I’ve bought a giant large mug from poundland before, they’d be brilliant for thisdespite my dogs not being big “tea drinkers”, i happily tested my two dogs on these. Besides, who can resist the promise of skin and coat condition improvements, sounds too good to miss. At this early stage of trying these out, i can’t see any drastic changes to their coat and skin condition, but over more time there could be. I personally don’t give them this tea on a daily basis, as my girls are old and have delicate stomachs, but they seem to love it, and they have not had any diverse reactions to it, either. Easy to prepare (although a little too time consuming for this “working mum”, i must say).

Will our dog look as good?,. Our three year old jack russell is an extremely fussy eater where dog food is concerned. She will only eat two types of dog food (bakers small bites or purina beta adult terriers with chicken. As reviewed previously) and one type of dog treat (pigs ears). However she will eat almost anything that we eat (probably because she thinks that she is a miniature human) and her favourite tipple is a cup of tea. So i thought that i would give woof & brew herbal dog tea (for skin and coat) a go. Woof & brew comes in a few different combinations and the one we are reviewing is for healthy skin and coat. This herbal brew is 100% natural and is made with a blend of burdock, dandelion, flax, nettle, rooibos and seaweed, this blend is high in fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The instructions are easy to follow.

I loved the idea of this when i heard of it, as our maltese terrier enjoys sneaking a bit of our cups of tea. A dedicated tea just for her sounded like a great idea, especially because she refuses to drink plain water, so we get through a lot of dog milkthe packet of tea looks stylish and it’s resealable for easy storage. Just one teabag makes a litre of tea that you can then store in the fridge. Because our dog is small, this lasts her for around three days, which cuts down the overall price quite a lot – we will only have to buy this every three months or so if we want a constant supply. At first our dog seemed unsure, and she wouldn’t drink the tea without any milk in it, but once we’d put a tiny drop of dog milk into the bowl with it, she drank the whole lot very eagerly. She ended up drinking quite a lot more than she usually will just of the milk and water, and seemed to really enjoy it, licking the bowl cleanit’s too early to say if the promised benefits to skin and coat will materialise, but i’ll update this review with any changes to her appearance. I’m impressed with this, and so is our terrier. If you have a large dog that drinks a lot though, this might work out quite expensive. And it is of course a luxury – no dog actually needs to drink tea.

Great idea in principle, if you can interest the dog. This review is for the skin and coat herbal tea, the other teas on this page may have different qualities to those i mention below. If you are sceptical as to the benefits of herbal tea, then i guess you wouldn’t be here contemplating this product. If you do believe that there are some health benefits, then the only deciding factor is if the dog will enjoy it and that is a matter of taste. The tea comes in what looks like a nylon mesh, but is some other material that is bio-degradable. It doesn’t have a strong smell in the bag or when brewing. It s easy to make, just port on 250mls hot water to brew and add 750 mls to cool it down. If you have a small dog that only drinks a little, then you are going to have some waste on your hands. This isn’t a substitute for water, so after a few hours you will probably want to throw out any old tea. It brews into a slightly amber looking fluid with no strong smell or taste – yep i tried it.

As with all things doggie related, my dog will either love it or hate it. She is a bit of a tea demon, if you leave a cup lying around she will find it and have her head in the mug before you know what’s happened. Making this tea was, well, just like making a cup of tea. I put the tea bag in a jug, poured in the hot water and then added the cold water. She was a bit sniffy at first, going up to the bowl, sniffing it then walking away, but she is always like that. Obviously it is too soon to see any changes to her coat but her moulting seems to be slowing down, but whether that’s because she is getting her winter coat i don’t know. This is a really good product and very unusual. I think i will get the posh one and the one for lawns next.

Great if your dog actually likes it. . These tea bags are supposed to provide nutrients and ingredients for healthy skin and coat, just what every dog owner wants for their dog, but the real test is in the trying. The tea is in biodegradable bags, though these look and feel like a tougher, more silky material than human tea bags and would be pretty hard to tear. Making 250ml of hot water, we left the bag to brew before adding 750ml of cold water on top. Yes, that’s right, 1 litre of water, much too much for our tiny shih tzu. You’ll then need to test the temperature to ensure that it has cooled enough to safely give it to the dog. They say you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink, well the same seems to be true of dogs and tea. Our dog, iris, took a few cautionary sniffs and decided it wasn’t for her. Later on, when thirst got the better of her, she did drink some but we had to put out plain water instead later on as she just wasn’t drinking this new concoction. As with humans, dogs have different tastes and iris really didn’t fancy the tea.

My husky really liked this which surprised me as she is normally so fussy. Easiest way to make this is in a jug, you pop in a teabag and put 250ml of boiling water on top and let it seep for 4 minutes, or longer if you want a bit more colour and flavour. You then top it up with cold water to a litre. I made mine in a 1 litre pyrex glass jug and she had about 250ml and i put the rest in the fridge. I wont be giving her a litre a day, she can have 250ml in the morning. I would not replace her water with this at all. I personally think these are ridiculously expensive for what amounts to herbal teabags, if they were 3 quid i may buy them again but not at this price.

Seems to be popular with the dogs. They took a few days to get used to the smell, but now they look forward to having a drink of this. I have not seen any of the advertised benefits but it has only been a few weeks. The most important thing to me is the fact that my girls enjoy this so as far as we are concerned this is a treat for them, just like any other dog treat. If there are long term health benefits then that’s a bonus.

Went down a treathasn’t come back up again. Is it my imagination or have doggy accessories exploded in the last few years?. Ok you can get doggy balls, coats and treats etc but now there are doggy advent calendars, bbq sauce etc. Then there comes woof & brew, doggy tea that will improve skin and coats etc. Doggy tea?well i had to try it, that is mr picky lurcher tried it. I was expecting him to look at me with his ” you’re nuts” face but he did like it. Its like making regular tea except you have to add cold water. He likes it and it smells ok. I am not sure that i will be buying more of the tea, it seems a bit daft but give it a go.

Dogs unsure/update next week. . I have made a fresh brew of this daily for a few days now. A couple of the dogs tried it but then haven’t been back for more and my older dog just looked and walked away. It is a natural product and claims to have many health benefits so what i decided to do so as not to waste it is open the tea bag and sprinkle a little bit on their food and they haven’t noticed. I will do this for a another day or to and see what happens and carry on leaving a bowl of the brewed tea out at the same time. Hopefully they will then take to it. I will update in a week with the results. A week later and unfortuanatly my dogs have not touched this even though its been made up and left out for them everyday. (23/9/14)i am updating my review again as one of my dogs has taken a real liking to these dog brews. I will just wait and see if his coat and condition improves and will update on this in a few weeks when he’s had a decent amount of time drinking them.

A niche product your dog may love or not. I thought i’d make a short video when trying this new product out and let the reaction of my dog (max) decide the outcome. As you can see he wasn’t too keen on the doggy herbal tea and wouldn’t drink it. I will point out that later that evening he had a few slurps and didn’t seem too put out, but obviously it’s not so tasty, and amazing that he absolutely must drinkthe product itself is well-packaged, and looks a quality product. I would recommend buying the small pack and seeing if it is something your dog enjoys. But it was a no from max, so it’s only getting 3 stars.
